Inmates at the Stanislaus County Jail can receive money through their commissary account to make phone calls or pay for other basic expenses approved by the facility authority. Depositors must know the Facility Locator No (295354), inmate ID number, and inmate's name to fund an inmate's account. Inmate accounts can be funded through the following method:

  • In-person: Depositors can visit the lobby kiosks of the Sheriff's Detention Center, Public Safety Center, REACT, or Sheriff's Detention Visitation Center to send money to an inmate.
  • By phone: Depositors can call (866) 232-1899 (Toll-Free) to send money to a Stanislaus County inmate. A credit/debit card or personal checking account information would be needed for the transaction.

The Stanislaus County jails how inmates send and receive letters to maintain close relationships with their families and loved ones. Inmates can purchase pre-stamped envelopes and exchange as many letters as they want. The jails provide inmates with insufficient funds and a limited supply of pre-stamped envelopes. Inmates with $2 or less in their account are given two free postage-paid letters for personal correspondence every week and an unlimited amount for legal mail. All personal mail received or sent from the jail facility is searched for contraband. The writing will also be scanned for security issues. The jails receive mail six days a week.
